Common size limits

The tool reduces quality and, if needed, dimensions. PNG uses dimension reduction; its quality slider has no effect. JPG has a white background. Animated and multi-frame images use the first frame.

How to compress a photo to 100KB, 200KB or 500KB

  1. Choose your photos and a size preset matching the upload limit. Enter a custom number and KB or MB for other limits.
  2. Choose JPG for photos, or PNG or WebP if you need transparency, then create the results.
  3. Check the actual file size and pixel dimensions before downloading. Save multiple results together as a ZIP.

Example: For a 200KB upload limit, choose 200KB. Here that means 200,000 bytes; the result shows whether the target was met.

Reaching a small file size may reduce image dimensions. Check both the byte limit and required pixel dimensions, and adjust settings if the target is not met.
